Years 7-11

The school operates on a two week timetable and students in Years 7-11 have 48 periods of lessons per fortnight.  Lessons are 60 minutes each.   Students start at 8.35am each day. On Monday-Thursday students have 5 periods of lessons and finish at 3.15pm.  On Friday students have 4 periods of lessons plus a tutorial and finish school at 2.25pm.  Students attend school for a total of 32.5 hours per week.

Unless they are attending a club students should not arrive at school before 8am.  Students in Years 7-9 should leave school by 4pm unless they are attending a club.  Students in Years 10-11 may remain in school for supervised study until 4.30pm.

Sixth Form

Year 12 students currently have 9 periods per fortnight per subject.  Year 13 have 10 periods per fortnight per subject.  All sixth form students have 1 period per fortnight for enrichment opportunities.

Sixth Form students could earn the right to start school later in the morning and leave school early if they have a work period or block of work periods, which will be agreed by their Head of Year. Some students may be asked to stay for overtime if they are not keeping up with their academic work.

Students in Years 12-13 should not arrive at school before 8am.  They may study in the sixth form centre after school until 6pm Monday-Thursday and until 4pm on a Friday.
