Virtual Open Morning Autumn 2020
We are very proud of our school and we look forward to the season of open morning visits for parents transitioning from Year 6 to Year 7 every autumn. Our tradition at Waldegrave is to send each group of visitors around the school with a pair of Year 8 students, to see and feel the life of the school on a typical day. That means all 216 girls taking part over the month of October. With great regret we are unable to invite you on an actual tour of our wonderful school this year. Instead we have enlisted the help of our Year 8 and 9 students to create a short film telling the story of how they feel about the school they love. We filmed the footage working before and after school, and in our Year 8 and Year 9 bubbles respectively. We have tried to give you a flavour of Waldegrave School through our virtual open morning. As well as the Year 8 and 9 film, our Head Girl 2019-2020, Tomi, has prepared her own video capturing her enthusiasm about her school, filmed on a mobile phone on the school field. We also have a short film from a Year 9 student who wanted to share her experiences with you. Finally Ms Elizabeth Tongue, our Headteacher, is able to share with you via the magic of Loom, her annual address to parents visiting our school. We hope you are able to sense the vision and ethos of the school through our virtual open morning.
