Waldegrave Sixth Form is a comprehensive, co-educational provision for 400 students aged 16-19. We offer a friendly, exciting, and stimulating environment for learning.  

Your experience of sixth form will shape the way you engage with the world.  We aim to educate the leaders of the future and you will be encouraged to make a difference whilst you study with us.

The teaching at Waldegrave is already outstanding and in the sixth form you will be able to benefit from our teachers’ extensive experience and deep subject knowledge.  Teachers will inspire you in the specialist subjects that you have chosen, ignite your imagination, fuel your spirit of enquiry and create an atmosphere of discovery in the classroom.  

Making an Application

Applications for September 2022 entry will open in October 2021.  This page will be updated with details of how to apply at the beginning of the Autumn term. 

We hope to be able to invite prospective applicants to an Open Evening in October.  Details will be confirmed at the beginning of the Autumn term.

All applicants have been sent an enrolment appointment time via Applicaa as well as an Enrolment Booklet which contains information you need in order to enrol with us in August. Please read this carefully as there are several actions you need to take before your appointment.

Open Evening

Our Open Evening 2020 was delivered virtually.  To view presentations by the Head of Sixth Form and subject specific videos please click HERE

 

Enrolment Days

Enrolment Days will take place on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 August.  During the Summer term we will send you an appointment time to attend in accordance with the Oversubscription Criteria.

A minimum of 20 places will be offered to external applicants.  The School aims for a year group of approximately 180-200 in Year 12 which includes internal and external applicants. 

We expect to be oversubscribed and will be implementing the Oversubscription Criteria.  Please ensure you read this carefully.

Places in the Sixth Form are not guaranteed and are not confirmed until Enrolment Day in August.  We recommend students make applications to at least two other providers and keep these open until their place is confirmed on Enrolment Day August 2021.

There are minimum entry requirements to study A Levels. These can be viewed HERE.
