Mock Elections actively engages students with the democratic process and shows how politics affects their everyday lives.
Students have gained a hands-on insight into how an election works as they ran for office, created manifestos, canvassed support, designed campaign posters and literature and cast their votes. Other students organised the election – registering voters, preparing the Polling Station, and counting the ballot papers.
The 2017 Mock Election involved students from across the school and students cast their vote in their very own Polling Station. The results were announced via Twitter witht he Liberal Democrat candidate winning the election.
