We are fully committed to the well-being of our students. Students have access to mentoring, peer mediation, peer tutoring and many more. We also engage with external agencies such as counsellors, the school nurse and targeted youth support. Our Students Services team play a crucial role as do the year group pastoral teams to ensure pastoral care is a priority and a strength at Waldegrave.
Students are supported by their tutor who sees them at the start of morning and afternoon lessons each day. Students generally stay with the same tutor from year 7 to year 11. Tutors can be contacted by putting a note in the student planners or via the firstname.lastname@example.org address. Each year group is led by an experienced Head of Year:
Year 7 – Ms Bechirian
Year 8 – Ms Bashford
Year 9 – Ms Vines
Year 10 – Mr Greaves
Year 11 – Ms Griffin
Leadership Team members are linked with each year, parents should contact the tutor in the first instance or the Head of Year for more pressing matters.
